On our nine-day sailing expedition, we photographed the scenic wonders of Alaska's Inside Passage aboard the Kirsten Anne, a luxurious 49' sailboat operated by Captain Neil Nickerson and Alaska Sailing Charters. We observed charming fishing villages, an incredible array of wildlife, and the breathtaking scenery of the Inside Passage. The Kirsten Anne offered an excellent platform to experience Alaska's impressive tidewater glaciers and migrating humpback whales.
The Hawai‘i Tropical Bioreserve and Garden is a beautiful botanical garden near Hilo. Their mission is to serve as a nature preserve and sanctuary. The Garden is dedicated to the collection and display of the world's tropical plants, and the education of both children and adults about the plight of the world's rainforests. Rainforest plants are disappearing at an alarming rate, and the Garden is working to preserve as many species as possible for future generations.
